I need to spatialize (wink!)

Hey Stunts. I thought trying some works in context might help me to figure out what we are doing slash want to do.

First to the P Room, while climbing the stairs:

Oooooo, could be a lightbox!

Then, woah, manchester:

xxx three

Or:

But I am not so super sold on the round pole things

Then a cryptic fence:

I took the glitter car out Clare.... but left the text. With this, it would be cool if it was leaning up outside, if we could ask the dairy owner to put it out every morning. Fresh!

North Projects' gate! But actually maybe this would be better swapped with the one on the red cross window....

Initial thoughts would be that I quite like the links and breakages in the variation of images. It makes me think about how the street is so long, so the encounters can be quite particular in the sense that they may be able to function less like a series and more like singular experiences.

  1. Amaze Marnie, this helps a lot! Makes me realise that the details are going to get lost in a busy image environment context: I'm surprised how well the rough sketches are holding up there though! Horses for courses...

  2. Wow, great to see these in situ Marnie - they're looking quite good!!

I like the idea of a poster work in the stairwell of Physics Room - also, perhaps we could even look to see if we can install two or three poster works on the community garden fence? It's quite a long fence/zone so we could coordinate with Mel/the community gardeners to see what's possible?

  4. There are three images, though a bit hard to get a sense of the extent of the street frontage:

the fence shot with the roses is at the start of the garde at town-end, moving along to the shot of grass behind fence, then the mounds of bark further down the street. Can't remember exact length of site but maybe fifteen metres?
