Welcome to our digital studio! All the Cunning Stunts started this blog as a working space for Woahmancester (A Road Movie of Intrepid Dimensions), a public image work visible along Manchester Street in Ĺtautahi/Christchurch, Aotearoa/New Zealand (24 March - 23 April 2016). You will also find parallel projects weaving in and out of the conversations documented here. Comments are open and faq's welcome, but sexist, racist, homo- and transphobic trolls can go jump in the lake.

Hey Liz, do you know what the debate about placement referred to? xR
ReplyDeleteHey Rachel, yep, it was a comment on a facebook post (by Vivian the director of the Piet Zwart) of an image of our bag of glitter (made by the director of a Rotterdam gallery called Witte de With) after she walked into a scene of the three of us deciding how to place (but mostly style) the bag just before the opening. So she was being quite literal, we were having a conversation/debate about placement. When I saw it on my newsfeed I messaged Marnie, who suggested a snappy and lateral link to placement being an issue in the New World, which I adapted and posted and that's the whole backstory!! What may be also interesting about this social media micro event is that later conversations between Clare and Vivian revealed she didn't even see the New World branding on the bag. We did have the logo facing towards the back wall, it seemed to me a bit obvious to do otherwise. Perhaps obvious is necessary in the Art Fair context!! xx
