Welcome to our digital studio! All the Cunning Stunts started this blog as a working space for Woahmancester (A Road Movie of Intrepid Dimensions), a public image work visible along Manchester Street in Ōtautahi/Christchurch, Aotearoa/New Zealand (24 March - 23 April 2016). You will also find parallel projects weaving in and out of the conversations documented here. Comments are open and faq's welcome, but sexist, racist, homo- and transphobic trolls can go jump in the lake.

Classified readability
Sister image_TEST
Literal inverse, with readable text_Personals
I haven't figured out how to reverse engineer the image properly so this is just a mock up to see what we think of the literal inversion scenario as mocked up in Marnie's post of our final selection (image below). What do you think?
Mock-ups with readable text together...

A touch of gradient overlay...
Something a little roll-ier...
Starting to get a handle on how to create the newspaper shape - obviously doesn't look as flash-bang as Clare's (always in awe of the Noonan touch) - I am not sure how to create the additional touches of shadow or backing shading so am posting my hack version so that we can to get a sense of the scale /positioning of text that might work - I quite like this level of readability - what do you think?
Note: Also, the current 'classified' files that Clare kindly shared in dropbox have 'Opportunities' at the top of both columns instead of 'Personals' except the psd file, which has Personals (left column) and Opportunities (right column) . I like the idea of having Opportunities prominent on Rain bro image, and Personals (with the left-most text) prominent on the sister image. Thoughts?

I'm on the map (job)
3rd final draft with transparency added:
2nd final draft, thanks RO xx: here, more "coming soon" legibility:
love this pre-vis! I saw someone on Saturday who was at the If + Trust performance and she was sporting a single lavender glitter under her left eye. Three + weeks later!
OK: who can supply me with an original classifieds/opportunities file?
And RO can you supply a layered file for the love love love text with purple transparency?
Roadmovie_watermark_options
a couple of super quick watermark options:
with hands almost big enough to grasp the paper, or
a more watermarked scale version with our acronym included
I can vary the percentage of transparency if desired [insert critique of capitalism joke].
****
Clare, we talked about making the personals text more legible by including one column per Roadmovie poster. Does anyone else feel this is needed?
+ is it possible for you time wise CN? Or, if needed, do we distribute this task too?

Waring_Time new version
I like the way this image is not too busy with details, it gives a bit of variation to the series...
I've put the digital clock in with two local time zones (9:30... sound familiar?) flipped and reversed
and have laid the sundial on the floor and attempted a perspective approximate Roysdon ode with perspective ignoring play button
comment me!
newnew version with different sundial perspective...
+ out now: without sundial image frame...
+ without sundial!
my perspective is still non-rational
I'll find something to copy if anyone wants to see a 3d CGI type version,
but first off, with or without the sundial base: figurative or abstracted?
[...]
so, figurative it is, thanks MS, agree.

New Physics Room Stairwell Poster
Cropped (with some sneaky extra pattern images):
In response:
Liz feedback:
ie make the pride into one of the background images (rooly like the small cap awkwarddesign)
and insert 'between' between somewhere. Also I accidentally kept paintbucketing the background with white creating this flood of pixellation that has effected the middle postcard the most, I quite like how it jaggedies its edges and makes it appear as if its emerging from digitalia, another possible option :)
New version:
And with Pride and Venue additions (I am a really bad graphic designer! And not even in a good way. Sigh):
