  1. Proof 08 uploaded, unsure about the WOAH writing, but if someone wants to pen and scan, or provide an ai vector file, that would be great to replace.

Stay tuned to this post tomorrow for more proofs.

  2. Hey Clare. It's looking really nice. Good bucket work! I think the WOAH could be thinner (so you see more faces) and in colour. Buuut, I am not the spray painter among us! LA, could you give it a go? I am going to have a look at Mel's emails and also contact Pride.

  3. Looking stunning indeed! What about silver or gold for the WOAH text colour?

  4. Hmmmm, might be one of those cases of gold and silver being unprintable colours (see previous mission for fluro green!). UNLESS you wanted to spray it on by hand when you are in Christchurch RO!?

  5. Could do a silver or gold effect spray paint with a wired bevel and emboss effect. Also amazed by the suggestion for the tag... That is so beautiful. Signwritter tip: If we do gold spray, we can print what we want in yellow because it will be a fantastic ground colour for solid gold. If we want silver, we could do white.

  6. Good point! I'm all for do-able. I like the spray paint idea though am thinking it'd be best to include the text on the poster and then if I feel like it, weather and outfit permitting, I can do a bit of graffiti - silver pen maybe...

  7. Clare, I think we posted a minute apart =) I really like the sound of 'a silver or gold effect spray paint with a wired bevel and emboss effect' - otherwise like the option of coloured ground (yellow/white) that could be perfect for subsequent graffiti

  8. Yellow would be great (love me a bit of yellow), and then send graffiti feeling vibes to RO, with the idea that if you don't feel it, RO, then yellow if also great. Yellow would tie to the Woahmanchester colour on map and Stairwell poster too. Snappy.

  9. Oooh, spraying/penning the poster IRL, great idea! Do you still need me to write a yellow WOAH?

    1. col, my dropbox is full, I will try and make more room but can you wetransfer the file to me? Also I uploaded Waring_Time_digitl_sundial_psd yesterday, which could be removed by you/CN too... blooody information management. When are we going to get one of our own server farms>>???;)

    2. OK, LA, I will sms Clare -- I think she has email and blog closed to make her computer faster. Do you want the Waring file too?

    3. also does CN have https://www.dropbox.com/s/hhdu2v3j3lkjk5y/AtCS_WM_Part%27s_she_she.psd?dl=0 downloaded? (ParT's Politic...)

    4. Oh, actually, I just noticed that CN asked for an "ai vector file" for the spray paint WOAH. Is this possible to do without the whole wellness centre image?

    5. Yeah, and Skype is on busy. Mega focus space there. I need a file for the waterfall to do the WOAH and a layered file of the classifieds so I can reposition the red marker pen. I ask if she has already downloaded the two other files: Waring_Time_digitl_sundial_psd and AtCS_WM_Part%27s_she_she.psd, so I can remove them from the dropbox. Phew!

    6. ai? ok, this is a rabbit hole. I can try.

    7. Hey LA. Just on the phone with CN, so will let you know asap.

    8. Hey Liz. So, Clare has Waring_Time_digitl_sundial_psd and AtCS_WM_Part%27s_she_she.psd, so you can remove these from the dropbox.

For the WOAH spray, Clare would love an ai vector file made in illustrator, but if this is not possible, then a highres photoshop file. For both of these options, you can use the proof image Clare posted on the blog (just scale it up in resolution!), and I guess the original business people image I sent on email yesterday, if you need the faces unobscured to figure out where the spray needs to go!

Would this be OK for you?

As an extra note, Clare says that her busy status on Skype is unintentional, so feel free to message if you need to.

  11. Hey Stunts. A bit of background background: The protest image used for the Wellness Center proof is an image taken in Wellington of a 2012 National Hikoi called Aotearoa is not for sale (24/3 - 10/5). The Hikoi was organised for people to get together and raise their concerns about privatisation, asset sales, welfare reforms, deep water oil drilling, coal mining, fracking and the TPPA in Aotearoa. There is an outline of the aims of the Hikoi here: http://news.tangatawhenua.com/2012/03/aotearoa-is-not-for-sale-hikoi-2012/
And the image source and video here:
    http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/6859194/Asset-sale-hikoi-marches-on-Parliament
The image shows the Hikoi gathering for speeches on the grounds of parliament.

I think that the context of the image is important and relevant, I am digging all the Tino Rangatiratanga flags on the left and right (considering the, ehem, totally laughable flag referendum), and also that for me, anyway, it is totally clear from the light quality in the image that it was taken in NZ.

  12. Thanks for the background context info Marnie. I just posted a couple of text options. Take a look, extra detail i know but considering the context i think its crucial to make sure the AtCS bubble and relation to this wider context is coming through.

  13. Looks great, and totally agree with your preferences LA. X

  15. Hey CN, I like the first proof -- yellow, with no street tag. I have numbered them for clarity!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yeah number 1, yellow, no street tag for me too. For once I prefer the ai style smooth. With the protest as a backdrop it makes more sense to me that the WOAH looks like it comes from within the huddle as an exclamation in their voice/style of their pixels rather than from the outside as a statement on the huddle's activities. Or at least that's what I'm reading in this graphic...

    ReplyDelete
  17. Also I have almost got the map image ready, when you finish the huddle layer can you pass it on to me and I'll place it in the mix :)

    1. Hey LA. Clare will be sending the huddle image for the map to you asap. I am going to say to Mel that this is arriving at like 10am her time. Cool?

  18. I am also for No 1, I like that the image is orienting around 'what are we not selling?' with the ambiguity of an exclamation of wonder or stunned mortification... still, I like to think the realities are quite clearly saying that the Reality is kidding itself but not anyone else... a first step to wellness? Listening to all the instincts about what's really going on, not just what's supposed to be going on...

  19. Perfect CN! Sending you admiration!
