proof 06

I present: Fo-Mo:

Rainbro is being produced now, but will be a reverse of this one, so any feedback will be useful for that one too. A little note, we are crazy close to the wire in terms of deadline #2, and the warping of the newspaper is quite labour intensive and slow with such a huge file. Rotating, shrinking and stretching are fine though!

And the two together:

  3. NICE WERK< The paper is looking rolled enough for me, and the watermark is great - raphically alll goood from me. My question is just what does "herstory Fo.mo?" mean? I can't figure it out, and maybe it's not supposed to make sense but please clue me up: is a read that you intend??

  4. Herstory is a word used to talk about a feminist concept of history, but it often also hints at non-linear conceptions of time, horizontally, decentering, etc. The answer to herstory fomo would be like the it's happening right here, right now on woahmanchster street.

  5. My initial basic reading is fear of missing out and the context being hxrstory, so makes me think of some of our research tangents, particularly women artists of Christchurch and having a desire to situate ourselves within a 'hxrstory', a queer alt universe to 'herstory' and 'history' that doesn't try and replicate the latters' linearity, gender binary, tired subject object relations... though also wanting 'visibility' sometimes and strategically and with self-determination in the realities that herstory and history support... fomo acknowledged as a social media inspired limit of personhood or relational connection... interrogate that, though, depreciate the fear... decide to sweat it out?... trust before fomo? Yup, trust before fomo!
